Who we are Mikael ‘Mika’ Baghammar
A born strategist, with immense drive and clarity of vision, his business focus has always been to deliver clearly measurable business performance improvement to his clients, arguing that a consultant has to be seen to make a difference, not just to talk about it. Mika loves to make a difference and helping companies improving their performance. Luckily he has had ample of opportunity to do this over the years both in senior management roles and as a consultant. He particularly enjoys making a difference working with businesses reducing their carbon footprint and energy consumption. He also enjoys talking - whether it is in English, German, Swedish or Scandinavian - and he has been grateful for the many opportunities he has had to communicate and deliver together with multilingual teams. A qualified diving instructor, passionate on the subject of marine conservation, he lives with his girlfriend and their two cats in Bath. Mika has an MSc in Management and Industrial Engineering from The Institute of Technology in Linkoping, Sweden. Giles May
Originally qualifying as a chartered management accountant he worked for the Capita Group for a time before joining Hunting Plc as Head Office Management Accountant. He went on to work in Australia as Chief Accountant for a technology company before returning to the UK, where he held senior positions in manufacturing and banking. He was able to realise his dream to be the Retailers Champion in 2005 when he formed Rate-Changers. Giles’ passion for saving his clients’ money is shared with his other loves, his family, sport (horse racing in particular), developing property and, especially at the moment, putting in the hours towards his Private Pilots Licence. “I work hard and play hard and love to laugh. My daughter makes me laugh most, she has such wonderful ways, so innocent.” |

Hailing
from Sweden, Mikael ‘Mika’ Baghammar moved abroad 1989 and spent some years
living and working in Indonesia, Germany, the USA and Switzerland before
settling in the United Kingdom in 1996.
Giles’
passion is in saving business money on their credit and debit card processing,
money that he feels a business often parts with without really understanding the
options.
